Supporting research from the basics to PhD

We believe research is directly linked to medical advancement. There is no improvement in healthcare and the medical field without the inclusion of research. It contributes to medical understanding, increased knowledge and progress in treating and preventing disease. Research outcomes can even have a direct effect on policy and thus society as a whole. For clinicians in particular it is important to be able to answer the questions our patients ask as well as the ones we ask ourselves. It can influence greatly how we choose to practice medicine.

In the Caribbean we are challenged by many unanswered questions because of limited financial- and human resources. The IMCER foundation seeks to defy these odds by leveraging its aptitude for bridge building.
